About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mortuary Administration Officer to join our team at Princess Royal University Hospital. As a key member of our mortuary department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the office and providing administrative support to our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the admission and release of deceased patients in a respectful and efficient manner.
  • Prepare deceased individuals for viewing by bereaved relatives, maintaining dignity and respect throughout the process.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases, including post-mortem scheduling and mortuary registers.
  • Liaise with various healthcare professionals, including pathologists, clinicians, and funeral directors.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant guidelines, including those set by the Human Tissue Authority and the Association of Anatomical Pathology Technology.
Requirements
  • Educated to GCSE level A-C grade or equivalent, including English and Maths.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
