Are you a transport planning professional looking for a new challenge? Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join their team in a dynamic Transport and Engineering consultancy.

About the Role

We are looking for a Transport Planner to play a key role in developing transport infrastructure and supporting road network analysis. As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for developing transport infrastructure designs in accordance with industry standards, undertaking and overseeing road network analysis using tools such as Junctions 9, LINSIG, and TRANSYT, and preparing technical reports, including Transportation Assessments, Access Appraisals, and Travel Plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing transport infrastructure designs in accordance with industry standards
  • Undertaking and overseeing road network analysis using tools such as Junctions 9, LINSIG, and TRANSYT
  • Preparing technical reports, including Transportation Assessments, Access Appraisals, and Travel Plans
  • Supporting sustainable and active transport planning initiatives
  • Contributing to feasibility studies and development planning projects

Requirements
  • A degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Town Planning, Geography, or Maths
  • Expertise in development planning, traffic engineering, and road network analysis tools (Junctions 9, LinSig, TRANSYT)
