About the Role

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join a dynamic Transport and Engineering consultancy. The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects, from small access assessments to large-scale strategic development sites, across transport infrastructure design, traffic engineering, development planning, and sustainable transport solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Developing transport infrastructure designs in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
  2. Undertaking and overseeing road network analysis using tools such as Junctions 9, LINSIG, and TRANSYT.
  3. Preparing technical reports, including Transportation Assessments, Access Appraisals, and Travel Plans.
  4. Supporting sustainable and active transport planning initiatives, promoting environmentally friendly solutions.
  5. Contributing to feasibility studies and development planning projects, providing expert advice on transport infrastructure design.

Requirements

  1. A degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Town Planning, Geography, or Maths.
  2. Previous relevant consultancy experience, with expertise in development planning, traffic engineering, and road network analysis tools.
