About the Role

The Mental Health Act Deputy Services Manager is a critical role within our organization, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of Mental Health Act administration across the trust. This includes overseeing the implementation of the MHA and associated legislation, providing training and support to staff, and working closely with other teams to achieve compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • To oversee the day-to-day operations of Mental Health Act administration, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • To provide training and support to staff on MHA administrative processes and relevant Trust policies and procedures.
  • To work closely with the MHA Trainer and MCA Officer to develop and deliver training programs for clinical staff.

Requirements

  • A strong educational background with excellent analytical and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Experience working within Mental Health Act Administration, preferably in an NHS setting.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize workload without need for continuous supervision.
