Reed Finance is partnering with a successful and long-established client in the local area to find a Financial Controller to support their International Finance department. As Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in preparing monthly accounts and overhead schedules, ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of financial statements and consolidations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly financial statements and consolidation for review by the Finance Director.
  • Ensure the accounts department maintains robust processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Review control account reconciliations and provide backup support for the International Accountant/Credit Controller.
  • Manage and approve bank payments and oversee pensions and payroll for all sites.
  • Lead and manage direct reports including Finance Admin Assistant, Accounting Assistant, and International Accountant.
  • Assist the Finance Director in preparing materials for audits for both local and overseas companies.
  • Engage in continuous learning with MS Dynamics for self and direct reports.
  • Handle various ad hoc projects as directed by the Finance Director.
  • Act as a stand-in for the Finance Director when not on site.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified ACCA/CIMA.
  • Experience with finance/controllership responsibilities for multiple international legal entities.
  • Understanding of US and UK GAAP.
  • Proficient in MS Office, with advanced skills in Excel.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent commercial and financial awareness.
  • Proven ability to adapt and think innovatively within the finance role.
  • Strong delegation, teamwork, and relationship management skills.
