Job Summary

The Deputy Director of Financial Performance will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the Strategic Financial Planning agenda within the finance and wider QVH Trust. This includes providing management and day-to-day support in all aspects of Strategic Financial Planning, while maintaining a team ethic within the wider Finance and Procurement division.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Provide strategic financial planning leadership to the Trust, supporting the development of the medium and long-term financial plan.
  2. Validate the benefits of major projects and support their implementation, working with project teams on the development of major business cases and capital cases.
  3. Responsible for coordinating and validating capital spend, working on the monitoring and reporting of the Trust's efficiency programme.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Masters level or equivalent experience and training.
  • Substantial experience in financial management in a senior role, with prior experience of running Portfolio Management Offices, delivering Programmes and Projects in a transformational or turnaround setting.
  • Knowledge of NHS Finance and policies, specifically related to financial/business planning.
