Mobile Heavy Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Vehicle Technician to join our team. As a Mobile Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy goods vehicles. This role involves traveling to client sites in North London and Essex, providing maintenance and repair services for HGVs, ground support equipment, RORO vehicles, fire rescue trucks, tractors, and tugs. You will also be required to perform callouts, preventative maintenance, emergency breakdowns, and pre-arranged servicing at rural sites. You will need to have a full commercial vehicle technician qualification or equivalent experience, a Class 2 Licence would be beneficial but not essential, and excellent communication skills, a problem-solving attitude, and a can-do mindset.
Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on heavy goods vehicles
- Diagnose and repair complex faults on a wide range of equipment
- Improve vehicle standards through regular maintenance and repairs
- Work on electrical and wiring inspections and corrections
- Have a full commercial vehicle technician qualification or equivalent experience
- Have a Class 2 Licence, although this is not essential
- Excellent communication skills, a problem-solving attitude, and a can-do mindset
