We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commis Chef to join our team at the 4-star Mercure Daventry Court Hotel & Spa. Located near Drayton Water, our hotel offers a unique blend of town and country experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook dishes to the highest standards, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the hotel's menu and products.
  • Ensure excellent food hygiene practices are observed throughout the food chain.
  • Comply with HACCP and COSHH regulations in the kitchen and food outlets.
  • Minimize waste by implementing proper control methods.
  • Ensure kitchen equipment is in good working order and report any maintenance issues to the Head Chef.
  • Prepare the department for business, adhering to company control procedures.
  • Participate in stock, order, and audit procedures.
  • Engage in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Passionate about food and committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work morning, afternoon, evening, and weekends.
  • Good command of the English language for effective communication with the kitchen team.
  • Resilient, creative, and able to multitask under pressure.
