Job Title: Community Staff Nurse

Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced nurse to join our District Nursing team in Hexham.

About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate nurse to provide patient-centered care to individuals in their homes, residential care settings, and clinics. As a Community Staff Nurse, you will work autonomously and as part of a team, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients with diverse health needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assessing and planning patient care
  • Implementing and evaluating care plans
  • Providing skilled nursing care, including wound management, palliative care, and catheterization
  • Performing diagnostic tests and interpreting results
  • Delivering health and social care programs for patients with terminal illnesses and their families

Person Specification:

  • State registration on Part 1 of the NMC register
  • Additional clinical qualifications or equivalent experience
  • Experience of working without direct supervision in a healthcare environment
  • Knowledge of the Compassion in Practice vision and strategy
