We are seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at GLG Vets. This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, with one in six Saturday mornings and out-of-hours duties on a rotational basis.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients, assisting in surgeries and other clinical procedures, maintaining accurate patient records, and communicating effectively with clients.

About the Role:

  • Nursing Care: Provide excellent nursing care to patients, ensuring their needs are met and they receive the best possible care.
  • Surgical Assistance: Assist veterinarians in surgical procedures, following proper protocols and guidelines.
  • Patient Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and test results.
  • Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, providing them with information about their pets' health and treatment options.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Salary: £18.45 per hour (pro rata for part of an hour) for work carried out between the end of your shift and 10pm, with additional pay for out-of-hours work and call-outs.
  • Benefits Package: 5 weeks of holiday plus bank holidays, CPD allowance of £300 per annum, RCVS fees paid, uniform provided, and mileage reimbursement for out-of-hours work.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with RCVS registration.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, a caring and compassionate approach to patient care, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
