Learning Support Assistant

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Southlands School in Lymington, Hampshire.
Key Responsibilities
- Work 1:1 with a pupil or with small groups of pupils, assisting with their learning across the curriculum for the whole school day.
- Be calm, patient, and consistent, but equally warm, nurturing, and encouraging of all students and their interests.
- Join in with activities at breaks and lunchtimes.
Requirements
- Experience working with challenging young people with a range of behaviours, difficulties, and interests.
- Ability to work under the direction of teachers to deliver learning material, but also act with initiative to help design a curriculum suited to the young person with whom you work.
- Existing TA/LSA qualifications, and/or good passes in English and Maths, are advantageous.
