About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our Mental Health service in Waltham Forest. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting our team to deliver high-quality care and support to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work proactively with the team to handle the service caseload and support an effective team approach to meeting each customer's identified needs.
  • Motivate the team and champion a positive culture within the service.
  • Contribute to a positive service environment, ensuring the service is supportive and a place of stability for customers.
  • Take on the lead role or Specific Point of Contact for key partner agencies.
  • Co-produce the daily living element of support alongside customers and partners.
  • Attend multi-agency meetings and cascade information back to the team.
  • Work proactively with the team to handle the service caseload and support an effective team approach to meeting each customer's identified needs.
  • Contribute to a positive service environment, ensuring the service is supportive and a place of safety and stability for customers.
  • Deliver all aspects of support to ensure life skills foundation is in place for customers.
  • Support customers to undertake domestic tasks and promote social inclusion.
  • Report and react to any observations relating to customers' welfare.
  • Develop links with local statutory and voluntary organizations to provide engagement opportunities for customers.
  • Shift lead, ensuring effective coordination of staff time.
  • Maintain good standards of records and adhere to Look Ahead Health and Safety policies.
  • Attend and participate in team meetings and Management meetings.
About You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and support to our customers. You will be a strong communicator, able to motivate and support our team to deliver excellent outcomes.

You will have relevant sector work experience and a NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent. You will also have a strong understanding of the Mental Health sector and be able to work effectively with customers and partners.
