Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Head of Estates to lead our front-line management team at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. As a key member of our PFI contract team, you will be responsible for overseeing planned preventative maintenance, reactive services, and resource management to ensure seamless service delivery.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing FM contracts, influencing change, and developing strong relationships with stakeholders. A customer-focused attitude, excellent people management skills, and experience in coaching and influencing teams are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of finance assistants, helpdesk operatives, and maintenance supervisors.
- Achieve financial targets by optimising resources and minimising unavailability penalties.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience managing FM contracts and influencing change, with excellent team building and people management skills.
- Experience in coaching and influencing teams.
- Services management experience of people and commercial issues.
- Must satisfy a DBS check and health check.
- Good people-management skills.
- Strong analytical skills with a strong bias towards P&L financial management.
- Intelligent approach to performance monitoring including relevant experience.
- Proficient IT skills, including Excel, Word & Microsoft office.
- Experience of working to ISO 9001 or similar quality system.
- Qualified to ONC/HNC standard in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering/Building Services or Building.
- Preferably NEBOSH Qualified.
