Derbyshire Home Support Specialist

We are collaborating closely with a Local Authority in Derby to assist with the appointment of a skilled home support professional, on a short-term contract expected to be extended based on client discretion.
**Estimated Salary:** £12.09 - £15.26 per hour
Job Description:
- We are seeking an individual to receive calls at Derby Care Link via a computerised call handling system, take or initiate necessary action to respond to incidents.
- The selected candidate will receive referrals and calls from members of the public or agencies requesting the services of the Social Services out-of-hours Team, initiating the appropriate action in response.
- Responsibilities include recording the nature of all calls received and actions initiated by data input onto the computerised call handling system or other recording systems.
- The successful candidate will also report any faults on alarm equipment linked to Derby Care Link.
- Additionally, they will perform tests on installations, fault-find, and report as necessary.
Requirements:
- A high standard of oral communication skills is essential for this role.
- A high standard of written communication is required.
- Experience working with the public is crucial.
- Maintaining and updating computerised records is a key aspect of this position.
