About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Operations Safety Specialist to join our team at Vestas. As a key member of our offshore wind farm operations team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of electrical safety and enforcing our Safe System of Work practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and enforce electrical safety standards and procedures on our offshore wind farm sites
  • Support the development and maintenance of our electrical safety policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with our platform management team to ensure a safe and controlled environment on our wind farm sites
  • Deliver training and guidance to our personnel to ensure they understand and maintain high standards of electrical safety
  • Provide technical support to our site management, supervisors, and technicians
Requirements
  • Electrical or mechanical engineering education (HNC Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, NVQ L4, C&G full technological certificate/diploma, or other relevant education/experience in the field of electrical engineering)
  • Knowledge of EN Operation of Electrical Installations/EAWR and other European Standards applicable for the region of employment
  • Previous wind industry technical and operational experience working with Vestas wind turbines desirable
  • Three years' practical experience with electrical safety and experience of working as an Authorised Technician (WTSR) or Authorising Engineer
  • Good knowledge of WTSR, HV Safety Rules, similar Safe Systems of Work, supporting procedures, and documentation
  • Authorization Panel experience
  • Good communication and presentation skills in English
