About the role...

You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, organizing client meetings and events from start to finish, and exceeding sales targets. You will work closely with the M&E Sales Office Manager to respond to client inquiries, create bespoke quotes, and arrange site visits. Your goal will be to build long-lasting relationships with clients, drive revenue growth, and contribute to the success of Birmingham Conference & Events Centre.

About you...

  • You will have previous sales experience in a large hotel or conference venue, with a passion for sales and a strong desire to exceed.
  • Ability to deal with sales leads in a professional, organized, and timely manner.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and have a confident telephone manner.
  • Ability to build and maintain long-lasting relationships with existing and new clients.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to stay calm under pressure, adapting your approach to complete routine and non-routine tasks.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy – great at managing one's own time.
  • Great team working skills while being comfortable and able to work alone, an effective team player with a positive attitude.
