Job Title: Engineering Manager About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our Safety Team, you will be responsible for supporting the production of the safety Build Assurance Justification and ensuring that the platform is being built to design intent. Key Responsibilities: * Support the production of the safety Build Assurance Justification * Review and ascertain the appropriateness of the Safety Argument and Safety Evidence provided by BAE * Liaise with the Barrow Safety Assurance Manager on any concessions where the Platform build differs from design intent * Act as the MOD technical liaison with Platform and Nuclear Propulsion build committees * Provide the safety interface with the propulsion/reactor/ships/weapons Test Groups Requirements: * Strong stakeholder management skillsets and experiences with senior board levels * Programme management experience * Previous experience in build assurance or maritime platforms of complex systems * Good experience of technical risk management/governance procedures * Hold a degree within a STEM subject What We Offer: * Competitive pension scheme * Enhanced annual leave allowance * Company contributed Share Incentive Plan * Flexible working * Employee assistance programme * Cycle2work * Employee discounts About Us: The Dreadnought Alliance is a collaboration between Rolls-Royce, BAE Systems (BAES) and the Ministry of Defence to deliver the 'Dreadnought Class SSBN' programme. The scope of the Dreadnought Programme is the delivery of four SSBNs to the Royal Navy to maintain Continuous At Sea Deterrence (CASD).
