Job Title: Engineering Manager - Product Safety Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our Safety Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our products and services. Key Responsibilities: * Support the production of the safety Build Assurance Justification * Review and ascertain the appropriateness of the Safety Argument and Safety Evidence provided by BAE * Liaise with the Barrow Safety Assurance Manager on any concessions where the Platform build differs from design intent * Act as the MOD technical liaison with Platform and Nuclear Propulsion build committees * Provide the safety interface with the propulsion/reactor/ships/weapons Test Groups Requirements: * Strong stakeholder management skillsets and experiences with senior board levels * Programme management experience * Previous experience in build assurance or maritime platforms of complex systems * Good experience of technical risk management/governance procedures * Hold a degree within a STEM subject Benefits: * Competitive pension scheme * Enhanced annual leave allowance * Company contributed Share Incentive Plan * Flexible working * Employee assistance programme * Cycle2work and employee discounts About the Role: This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of safety principles and practices.
