Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Care Support Specialist to join our team in Cardiff. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities.

About the Role

This permanent, part-time position requires you to work 33 hours per week, providing support and assistance to adults in a supported living setting. Your primary focus will be on promoting independence and well-being through person-centered care.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues across health, social care, and third-party organizations to achieve the best outcomes for our service users. Your commitment to safeguarding and promoting their welfare is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide high-quality person-centered support, focusing on individual needs and goals
  • To work creatively using evidence-based practices and a strength-based model
  • To collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care plans
  • To maintain accurate records and contribute to quality assurance processes
Requirements

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate individual with a passion for supporting adults with learning disabilities. Essential qualifications include a recognized care-related qualification, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A willingness to undertake training and professional development opportunities is also necessary. The ability to speak Welsh or other community languages would be advantageous.
