SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a special educational needs school in Cardiff. As a valued member of our staff, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our pupils.
Job Description:This SEN Teaching Assistant role involves providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils with PMLD. You will promote independence and care where needed, support pupils with their physical and personal care needs, and promote positive behaviour and a safe and inclusive learning environment.
You will work closely with our teaching staff to assist with lesson preparation and delivery, including therapeutic activities. A good understanding of PMLD or pupils with severe learning difficulties is essential for this role.
Requirements:- A valid driving licence with access to your own vehicle (preferred but not essential).
- A Level 2 qualification in education or health and social care.
- Experience working with adults or children with severe learning difficulties.
- Ability to remain calm in pressured situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of each individual student.
The estimated salary for this role is £23,000-£26,000 per annum.
