About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Adult Social Care team in Essex County Council. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with adults with complex needs, providing expert advice and guidance to ensure they receive the best possible care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy services to adults with complex needs, including assessment, planning, and implementation of care plans.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, social workers, and carers to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with partner agencies and the local community to provide a supportive framework for vulnerable adults.
  • Conduct assessments and provide advice on equipment and adaptations to support independence and mobility.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans that meet the needs of adults with complex needs.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy, or equivalent qualification.
  • Current Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration.
  • Experience of occupational therapy in adult social care, with a strong understanding of current legislation, regulations, and guidance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with adults, families, and other professionals.
