Payroll Assistant, Hybrid Working

About the Role
This is a full-time, permanent position with Hays Careers, working as part of a busy payroll team. The post holder will work on the payroll bureau team and will manage their own portfolio of clients processing their payrolls from start to finish using the Sage payroll system.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients processing their payrolls from start to finish using the Sage payroll system
- Process payrolls accurately and efficiently, meeting deadlines and ensuring compliance with UK payroll legislation and calculations
- Provide excellent communication and customer service to clients, responding to payroll queries and resolving issues promptly
- Work collaboratively with the payroll team to achieve team goals and objectives
Requirements
- GCSE or equivalent in English Language and Maths
- Experience in the use of payroll systems and MS Office applications (Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Excellent communication and Excel skills
- Ability to work on your own initiative, accurately, flexibly and under pressure to achieve the required deadlines
