Senior Director of Chemistry

**About the Role**
BioTalent is partnering with a leading Biotech company to fill the position of Head/VP of Chemistry. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the advancement of small molecule projects targeting valuable biological targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Chemistry Department: Oversee the chemistry department and drive the strategy for a unique pipeline of small molecule projects targeting proteins.
- Define and Execute Hiring Plans: Develop and implement hiring and staffing plans to ensure the department has the necessary talent to achieve its goals.
- Provide Leadership and Guidance: Offer leadership and guidance to advance first-in-class projects and ensure overall program success.
- Prepare Presentations: Prepare internal and external presentations of scientific progress, strategies, plans, resources, assumptions, risks, and data that support conclusions.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with biology and other scientific leaders to ensure overall program success and align with the executive team on corporate goals.
- Manage Chemistry Support: Involved in the selection and management of Contract Research Organizations (CROs).
- Develop IP Strategy: Define and execute IP strategy in the context of small molecule filings, working with the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO), Chief Operating Officer (COO), Chief Business Officer (CBO), Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and external legal team.
Requirements
- Education: PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
