The Comhairle Nan Eilean Siar seeks a highly skilled and experienced Early Years Curriculum Leader to join their team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified and passionate individual to lead the curriculum in an early years setting, working through the medium of Gaelic. The successful candidate will have proven experience in childcare and be able to provide cover for the Manager as needed.

About the Role:

This is a 29-hour per week, term-time position, offering a competitive salary of £22,015-£23,857 per annum, inclusive of a Distant Islands Allowance of £1,857 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lead a curriculum that supports children's learning and development, using Gaelic as the primary language.
  • Organise play sessions, taking into account the needs of every child.
  • Provide cover for the Manager when required.

Requirements:

  • A qualification that meets the Scottish Social Services Council's requirements for Practitioners.
  • Proven experience in childcare, working with young children and their families.
  • The ability to speak and read Gaelic fluently.
  • Membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
