Job Title:

Executive Director for Jewish Community

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead our dynamic Jewish community in London, Ontario. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of strategic leadership, community building, and fundraising.

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Outreach:

  • Take a leadership role in executing the strategic plan to meet the current and future needs of the London Jewish community.
  • Proactively build and maintain relationships based on trust and shared interests with stakeholders across the London Jewish community.
  • Engage and partner with donors, community leaders, and members to identify opportunities for innovative programming and collaboration.
  • Work with the community-at-large to ensure the London Jewish community has a voice in important civic matters.

Administrative:

  • Provide financial oversight and work with the Board of Directors to develop, monitor, and execute annual budgets.
  • Engage with the London Jewish Community Foundation and support Life & Legacy and other endowment programs.

Fundraising and Marketing:

  • Work with Annual Campaign Chairs to construct and lead fundraising campaigns that engage and inspire the entire community.
  • Evaluate and identify alternative and new sources of funding for support of the community.
  • Increase awareness of the London Jewish Community Foundation (LJCF) and increase overall engagement in planned giving initiatives by marketing, developing, and implementing new programs that target specific audiences.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in a senior leadership/management role, preferably in a community organization.
  • A track record of developing and implementing programs that educate, involve, and inspire.
  • An appreciation of and commitment to Israel and Jewish values.
  • Government and University relations experience, including working with key leaders on major issues such as antisemitism, Jewish and Holocaust education, infrastructure support, security, and safety.

Salary and Benefits:

$90,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits package.
