Role Overview

Consilium Recruit is supporting the retail division of a major commercial vehicle manufacturer in their search for a Workshop Controller. This key role will oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient maintenance and repair of vehicles while delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate workshop staff activities, including technicians and apprentices.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to team members to enhance skills and performance.
  • Assign tasks and projects to technicians based on their skills and workload.
  • Plan and schedule work to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain quality and safety standards by inspecting work performed by technicians.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in automotive repair or maintenance roles, with supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Excellent mechanical and technical skills.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this role is £45,000 - £60,000 depending on location and experience. Additional benefits include:

  • 24 days annual leave per year.
