About the Job

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Child and Family Services Manager to join our Assessment and Intervention team at Essex County Council. As a key leader in our department, you will be responsible for managing a complex caseload and providing expert guidance and support to colleagues.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of children's social care in Essex, working closely with partners, agencies, and the community to promote positive outcomes and drive innovation.

The ideal candidate will possess a recognised social work qualification and current registration with Social Work England. They will also have experience in assessment and intervention, with a strong understanding of relevant laws and policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of effective assessment and intervention strategies to promote children's welfare.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to colleagues, promoting continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with partners, agencies, and the community to ensure seamless collaboration and coordination.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £49,491 per annum (inclusive of London Allowance), reflecting the importance of this position in driving positive change.
