Mental Health Support in Schools

North East London Foundation Trust is leading the way in providing mental health support in schools across Southend, Essex, and Thurrock. Our teams work closely with schools and colleges to deliver individual and group interventions for children experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.

The Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP)/Children's Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) role will play a crucial part in this initiative, working with children, young people, and families to develop plans for intervention and agreed outcomes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assess and deliver interventions to children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
  • Collaborate with children, young people, and families in developing plans for intervention and agreed outcomes.
  • Conduct risk assessments to self and others.
  • Provide information and support for evidence-based psychological treatments.
  • Refer to other health professional specialist services and agencies when necessary.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £42,000 - £52,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive regular supervision and training to support your professional growth and development.
