Mental Health and Well-being Support

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Support Specialist to work in Secondary Schools. The schools have students with SEMH, anxiety, and mental health issues, requiring 1:1 support to settle them into the school, assist with learning, and socially and emotionally.

The school has modern facilities, a large car park, and a bus stop directly outside for those reliant on public transport. This role is full-time, starting in September.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deal with situations calmly and sensitively
  • Be creative in supporting pupils with additional needs
  • Develop strong relationships with students and staff
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members and third parties
  • Care about pupils' academic, emotional, and personal development
  • Have empathy for individual circumstances
  • Use initiative to meet students' needs
  • Have a proven track record of working with young people or vulnerable adults
  • Basic IT skills/understanding
