Organon is seeking a skilled Safety, Health & Environmental Specialist to join our SHE Team at our manufacturing site in Northumberland. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of our Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) improvement targets and maintaining our current EHS management system.

The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications and experience in EHS management, a strong team working approach, and excellent communication skills. You will be responsible for maintaining and updating SHE registers and procedures, investigating incidents and accidents, and developing key EHS metrics to drive our safety continual improvement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update SHE registers and procedures in line with company and legislative requirements.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, and develop suitable CAPAs in conjunction with site stakeholders.
  • Support operational risk assessments and maintain oversight of the risk assessment framework.
  • Develop and monitor key EHS metrics to drive our safety continual improvement processes.
  • Perform SHE inspections, such as fire equipment and PPE checks, as required.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in EHS management (NEBOSH General Certificate level or equivalent).
  • Degree in a Science-related subject or equivalent experience.
  • Membership of a Professional Institute, such as IOSH or IEMA.
  • Relevant technical and operational knowledge, preferably in the Pharma sector.
  • Strong team working approach and excellent communication skills.
