Safety, Health and Environmental Specialist

Organon is seeking a highly skilled Safety, Health and Environmental Specialist to join our team at our world-class manufacturing site in Cramlington, Northumberland. As a key member of our SHE Team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of our Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) improvement targets and maintaining our site's current EHS management system.
The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications and experience in EHS management, a strong team working approach, and excellent communication skills. You will be responsible for maintaining and updating SHE registers and procedures, investigating incidents and accidents, and developing suitable CAPAs. Additionally, you will support operational risk assessments, develop and monitor key EHS metrics, and participate in site projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update SHE registers and procedures in line with company and legislative requirements.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, and develop suitable CAPAs in conjunction with site stakeholders.
- Support operational risk assessments and maintain oversight of the risk assessment framework.
- Develop and monitor key EHS metrics to drive the organization's safety continual improvement processes.
- Complete SHE inspections, such as fire equipment and PPE checks, as required.
- Develop cross-functional working to evaluate EHS aspects of operations and practices, and identify solutions to improve safety.
- Participate in project teams to ensure appropriate EHS support during design, planning, installation, and construction.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications and experience in EHS management (NEBOSH General Certificate level or equivalent).
- Degree in a Science-related subject or equivalent experience.
- Membership of a Professional Institute, such as IOSH or IEMA.
- Relevant technical and operational knowledge, with a preference for experience in the Pharma sector.
- Strong team working approach and excellent communication skills.
