Job Title: Senior Finance Business Partner

Location: Glasgow or Edinburgh

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Business Partner to join our team at Transport Scotland. As a key member of our Finance and Corporate Services Directorate, you will provide professional accounting, budgeting, and financial stewardship advice to our Directorates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality financial advice to senior stakeholders, improving financial awareness and ensuring robust financial controls.
  • Work with colleagues to develop awareness of drivers of financial performance, supporting the achievement of objectives within available resources.
  • Assess projections of future income and expenditure, ensuring regular updates to financial plans.
  • Support the finance teams, stakeholders, and Ministers in the budget setting process.
  • Deputise for the Head of Finance Business Partnering as required.
Requirements
  • Strong finance experience, with the ability to provide high-quality advice to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong background in finance business partnering or management accounting.
  • Ability to think and act strategically, making links across policy and organisational boundaries.
