About the Role
Glasgow Caledonian University is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join their Finance Business Partner Team. The successful candidate will provide critical financial decision support to the University's Executive, Academic Schools, and Professional Support Departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting in School and departmental planning
- Providing management accounting support to senior management
- Producing monthly management accounts
- Preparing annual budgets
- Shaping strategy and Executive decision making through value add analysis
- Providing investment case support
- Enhancing financial management information and Executive board and committee papers
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a CCAB recognised accountancy qualification and be a member of an appropriate professional institute or association.
You should have substantial post-qualification experience with demonstrable expertise in management accounting, planning, and influencing at a senior level.
The successful candidate will excel in developing and maintaining effective working relationships at all levels within the organisation, demonstrate strong analytical skills to understand the range of issues affecting the university's performance, and plan and prioritise workloads effectively.
We seek someone proactive in service development and committed to improving systems and processes, capable of strategic thinking to achieve organisational goals, and able to command respect and confidence from the Executive Board and stakeholders.
