About the Role
Glasgow Caledonian University is seeking a highly skilled Finance Business Partner to join their Finance Business Partner Team. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in ensuring financial sustainability and excellence in planning, management reporting, infrastructure, and investment case appraisals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in school and departmental planning to ensure alignment with the University's strategic objectives.
- Provide management accounting support to senior management, including producing monthly management accounts and preparing annual budgets.
- Shaping strategy and executive decision-making through value-added analysis and providing investment case support.
- Enhance financial management information and executive board and committee papers.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a CCAB-recognised accountancy qualification and be a member of an appropriate professional institute or association. You should have substantial post-qualification experience with demonstrable expertise in management accounting, planning, and influencing at a senior level.
The successful candidate will excel in developing and maintaining effective working relationships at all levels within the organisation, demonstrate strong analytical skills to understand the range of issues affecting the university's performance, and plan and prioritise workloads effectively.
We seek someone proactive in service development and committed to improving systems and processes, capable of strategic thinking to achieve organisational goals, and able to command respect and confidence from the Executive Board and stakeholders.
