Maths Teacher Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Maths teacher to join our team at a Leicester-based secondary school. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative Maths lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons to students in KS3 and KS4
  • Support and advise students throughout the school day
  • Support Maths classes in the absence of the timetabled staff/teacher
  • Deliver cover work established in the absence of the teacher
  • Maintain good order and ensure students are on task so that learning can take place
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in Maths or related field
  • Recent experience teaching Maths at secondary school level
  • Strong behaviour/classroom management
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members
