About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring practitioner to join our team as a SEMh Inclusion Practitioner. The successful candidate will be committed to providing high-quality inclusive provision and will be able to share their skills, expertise, and knowledge across the schools in Leicestershire.

The role involves working with pupils with special educational needs in a primary school, primary pupil referral unit, or primary special school. The practitioner will be expected to advise and support a range of interventions and teaching adaptations to promote reasonable adjustments and make learning engaging and accessible to all.

The ideal candidate will have a HLTA qualification or equivalent, GCSE Grade C or above or equivalent in Mathematics and English Language, and experience of working with pupils with challenging social, emotional, and mental health needs. They will also have knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed practice and experience in liaising with parents/carers and working with external agencies.

About You

  • You must have a HLTA qualification or equivalent

  • Experience of teaching pupils with challenging social, emotional, and mental health needs
  • Knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed practice
