About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth through the development of new sales opportunities.

Job Description
  • Company Overview: Optima Recruitment Limited is a leading recruitment agency with a strong presence in the industry.
  • Salary: This is a competitive role with a basic salary dependent on experience, plus bonuses (in excess of £100k in year 1 and £200k in year 2).
  • Location: The role is based in Dorking, with hybrid working arrangements (2/3 days WFH).
Key Responsibilities:
  • Work on multiple exhibitions in specialist sectors.
  • Build and manage an evolving list of potential exhibiting companies, increasing revenue through selling exhibition space and sponsorship.
  • Responsible for driving weekly sales campaigns, aiming to meet the annual event sales target.
  • Maintain and update the company CRM system.
  • Introduce and pitch the exhibition to senior decision-makers from SMEs to global corporations through cold calling and engaging with existing clients.
  • Manage new and existing exhibitors, helping them achieve maximum ROI from our events.
  • Work with internal teams, including marketing and operations, to ensure the successful delivery of events.
