Job Title: Senior Care Assistant

At Excelcare Holdings, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team at our Primrose Croft Care Home in Cambridge. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing physical, emotional, and social support to our residents, ensuring their dignity and respect are upheld at all times.

About the Role:

  • You will work alongside and mentor a team of Care Assistants to deliver outstanding care and support to our residents.
  • As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for creating person-centred care plans and risk assessments, working closely with the Home Manager and ancillary teams.
  • You will engage in meaningful activities with our residents, promoting independence, choice, and dignity.

Requirements:

  • Two years' experience as a Care Assistant or Senior Care Assistant with an NVQ 2/3 qualification in Health and Social Care, or three years' experience without an NVQ.
  • Experience in a nursing or care home, or as a home care worker.
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks, including the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
  • Knowledge and practice of working with people suffering from dementia is desirable.
