Are you a dedicated and hardworking individual looking to support pupils with their personal development and behaviour?

Teaching Personnel is seeking a skilled Behaviour Support Assistant to join their Inclusion Team in a Secondary School in the PR7 area of Chorley, Lancashire. This part-time position involves assisting the Internal Exclusion Room in the supervision of the internal exclusion facility.

The ideal candidate will have a good level of Maths and English, GCSE grade C and above, and excellent ICT skills. Resilience and the ability to cope in a busy environment are essential. A background in youth work or schools would be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To ensure the well-being and safety of all students
  • To support in the implementation of systems and strategies for students exhibiting challenging behaviour
  • To contribute to a reduction in internal fixed term exclusions

Requirements:

  • Commitment to the safeguarding of children and an understanding of policy and practice in this area
  • A knowledge of working practice in the education sector and/or schools
  • Good records of attendance and punctuality
