About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Part Time Shift Leader to join our team. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring that customers receive excellent service, and that our team members are supported and empowered to deliver their best work.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate the store team to deliver an easy and fuss-free shopping experience for customers
  2. Support your colleagues, ensuring they deliver daily priorities and take regular breaks
  3. Open and close the store, and complete duty cover, ensuring all decisions made are right for everyone's safety
  4. Be the go-to person for colleagues in the absence of a manager for day-to-day queries
  5. Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-presented store
  6. Support managers to coordinate seasonal, community, and charity events
  7. Contribute to a great team atmosphere, inclusive of everyone
  8. Provide great customer service, listening to our customers and putting them first in everything you do
  9. Keep the team well-informed and up to speed on any communications, changes, or updates
  10. Stay knowledgeable about store performance and look for ways to improve and simplify operations
  11. Coordinate store improvements and remove any obstacles that might be getting in the way of great service
  12. Follow health and safety routines and procedures, and ensure colleagues do the same
  13. Recognize and celebrate colleagues within the team who are providing great service
Requirements
  1. Be a great role model, always giving thoughtful customer service that ensures every customer's needs are met
  2. Build strong, long-lasting relationships with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive team atmosphere that encourages everyone to do their best work
  3. Be a clear communicator, comfortable with using a variety of methods to keep your team well-informed and up to date
  4. Be comfortable taking the lead and overseeing the store in the absence of your Manager
  5. Be a good decision maker, flexible in the way you think, and comfortable handling change to ensure everything we do is right for customers and colleagues
  6. Be motivating, inspiring your team to deliver beyond expectations
  7. Be curious, always on the lookout for ideas and opportunities to serve our customers, communities, and planet a little better every day
