  • Organising and leading year group assemblies, workshops, and other events aimed at fostering a sense of community and promoting students' academic and personal development.
  • Addressing any disciplinary issues within the year group, ensuring that consistent and fair behaviour policies are followed and that students are supported to improve their conduct.
  • Regularly reporting on the progress and needs of the year group to senior leadership, and contributing to whole-school initiatives as required.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a pastoral or leadership role within a secondary school, such as Head of Year, Deputy Head of Year, or Pastoral Lead.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students and staff.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage a varied and demanding workload effectively.
  • A deep understanding of behaviour management, student well-being, and safeguarding, with the ability to apply these in a school setting.
  • A commitment to ensuring the success of every student, with a proactive and solution-focused approach to challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A passion for supporting the holistic development of students, ensuring they are well-prepared both academically and personally for future success.
