Overview

Nicholas Associates Group is a leading construction business, providing specialist solutions for Groundworks and RC Frames across the UK.

We are recruiting an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to lead our team on a HS2 project in Birmingham.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to work on one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects. As a Senior Site Engineer/Project Engineer, you will be responsible for reviewing design changes and instructing setting out engineers.

You will also oversee quality assurance (QA) checks on-site, monitor and check setting-out works, temporary works inspections, and raise technical queries on design issues.

The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy civils reinforced concrete (nuclear, infrastructure), with a strong understanding of reinforcement drawings.

Demonstrated communication skills and experience in formwork/RC temporary works are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and implement design changes
  • Oversee QA checks on-site
  • Monitor setting-out works
  • Conduct temporary works inspections
  • Raise technical queries on design issues
  • Attend meetings with clients
  • Ensure compliance with HSE standards
  • Manage reinforced concrete quality procedures/records
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Experience in formwork/RC temporary works
  • Main contractor experience in engineering roles on major infrastructure projects

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in heavy civils reinforced concrete (nuclear, infrastructure)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience in managing reinforced concrete quality procedures/records
  • Knowledge of reinforcement drawings
  • Main contractor experience in engineering roles on major infrastructure projects

Salary

The salary for this position is approximately £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
