Laing O'Rourke is a leading engineering and construction company delivering state-of-the-art infrastructure projects in the UK. We are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to work on a multi-million pound infrastructure project in Birmingham.

Aim of the Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Laing O'Rourke Management of Temporary Works procedure, managing setting out data, and producing as-built surveys and reports. The role involves utilizing Digital Engineering models to create Visual Method Statements and Visual Task sheets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and ensure compliance with the LOR Management of Temporary Works procedure on projects.
  • Manage setting out data, including interrogating and transferring data from 3D CAD models.
  • Determine the requirement for and format of as-built surveys and reports.
  • Evaluate the scope of survey to demonstrate compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to project and company quality procedures.
  • Develop and recommend best engineering methods.
  • Produce and approve method statements and risk assessments.
  • Manage a team of Senior Engineers (project dependant).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or an industry-recognized technical qualification.
  • Circa 8 years' experience in a Civil Engineering capacity.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK or valid UK visa.
