We are currently seeking an exceptional Paediatric Nursing Team Lead to join our leadership team at James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and experienced nurse to take on a new challenge and make a real difference in the lives of our patients.
About the Role
As a Paediatric Nursing Team Lead, you will play a key role in leading clinical shifts in the paediatric Emergency Department and children's ward. This will involve working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care and lead on governance initiatives. Your responsibilities will include delegation, risk assessment, and staff supervision, as well as contributing to staffing rotas, training, governance, and sickness management.
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will require a strong background in paediatric nursing, including experience in shift coordination, acute paediatric nursing, and paediatric nursing in both acute and community settings. A Registered Sick Children's Nurse (RSCN) or Registered Nurse (RN) qualification is essential, as is evidence of continued professional development. You will also need to demonstrate autonomy under pressure, flexibility in working patterns, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
Salary and Benefits
This salaried position offers a competitive annual salary of £37,338 to £44,962 pro rata, reflecting the importance we place on attracting and retaining top talent.
