Employer Engagement Officer

Newground Together is a leading charity that empowers people to create sustainable communities. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in developing and maintaining strong relationships with local businesses and employers to create employment opportunities for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain effective connections with local businesses and employers to understand their hiring requirements and promote our client base and services.
  • Explore and pursue new employment and training opportunities through local, regional, and national initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Employment Advisors and other team members to match job seekers with suitable employment options.
  • Organize engaging workshops and events to enhance the employability skills of job seekers.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to job seekers throughout the employment process.
  • Design and deliver employer programs and engagement activities.
  • Support the recruitment process by leveraging knowledge of employers and working closely with the employment team.
  • Meet and exceed set targets, including non-regulated activities and job outcomes.
  • Promote our employability services to Housing staff, partner agencies, and local businesses.
  • Develop and maintain crucial relationships with employers and partner organizations.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in a similar role, such as Employment Advisor or Employer Engagement.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of the local job market and employment trends.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Full Driving Licence.
