Employer Engagement Officer

The Employer Engagement Officer will play a vital role in developing and maintaining strong relationships with local businesses and employers. This will involve creating employment opportunities for our clients, working closely with Employment Advisors and other team members to match job seekers with suitable employment options, and ensuring a successful transition into employment.

This is a temporary contract until March 2025, with the possibility of extension subject to further funding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain strong connections with local businesses and employers to understand their hiring requirements and promote our client base and services.
  • Pursue new employment and training opportunities through local, regional, and national initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Employment Advisors and other team members to effectively match job seekers with employment options.
  • Organize engaging workshops and events to enhance the employability skills of job seekers.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to job seekers throughout the employment process.
  • Design and deliver employer programs and engagement activities.
  • Support the recruitment process by leveraging knowledge of employers and working closely with the employment team.
  • Meet and exceed set targets, including non-regulated activities and job outcomes.
  • Promote our employability services to Housing staff, partner agencies, and local businesses.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employers and partner organizations.
  • Engage with local businesses and employers to understand their needs and promote our client base and services.
  • Demonstrate effective client relationship management, achievement of targets, and provide evidence of impact.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in a similar role, such as Employment Advisor or Employer Engagement.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of the local job market and employment trends.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Full Driving Licence.
