About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Agricultural Operations Manager to join our team at Morepeople 01780. As a key member of our agricultural business, you will be responsible for overseeing the seed potato and potato processing side of our operations.

About the Client:

Our client is a large-scale, commercial farming business based in Cambridgeshire. They are a progressive and supportive employer that offers employees the chance to grow and develop in a dynamic environment. Our client grows field vegetables, potatoes, sugar beet, and cereals to the highest standard and supplies major retailers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitoring potato crops and maintaining close relationships with growers
  2. Conducting seed crop inspections and negotiating contracts
  3. Ensuring food safety and compliance
  4. Providing technical expertise to support customer relations
  5. Assisting with store management, planting, irrigation, pest control, and other crop-related tasks

Requirements:

  1. Strong experience in agricultural management, preferably with potatoes or other fresh produce
  2. FACTS & BASIS qualifications are a plus
  3. A full UK driving licence is essential for this role
  4. Comfortable with data management, food safety documentation, and crop inventories

Location:

This role is based on the Cambridgeshire/Norfolk border, with daily travel across East Anglia to meet with growers.
