Veritas Education Recruitment is seeking a skilled Special Education Needs Speech and Language Teaching Assistant to join one of our client schools in East London. This role offers a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting the development of children with Special Educational Needs.

Salary: £23,500 - £24,500 per annum (dependent on experience)

About the Role:

We are looking for an individual with experience working with children with Special Educational Needs, preferably with speech and language work. The ideal candidate will possess a good academic background, minimum undergraduate degree, and be committed to developing their skills and gaining experience towards a career working with young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To assist in planning, delivering, and evaluating interventions for Speech and Language Therapy
  • To work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure effective support for pupils
  • To contribute to the development of a supportive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs
  • Relevant qualifications or training in Speech and Language Therapy or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
