Job Title: Special Educational Needs Support Professional

Location: Waltham

Contract Type: Full-time, Term-Time Only

Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Support Professional to support students with diverse needs in a mainstream secondary school setting.

You will work closely with teachers to ensure that students with SEN have full access to the curriculum and receive the necessary support to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and small group support to students with SEN, helping them build confidence and develop social and academic skills.
  • Work with students who may have learning disabilities, autism spectrum conditions, speech and language difficulties, or emotional and behavioral challenges.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a graduate with a background in Psychology, Special Educational Needs, or a related field, who has experience working with children or young people in a supportive capacity.

Key skills and experience include:

  • A degree in Psychology or similar, or relevant experience working with children and young people.
  • A passion for working with students with SEN and an understanding of the challenges they face in a mainstream setting.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and adaptability to tailor your support to individual needs.
