Job Title: Senior Healthcare Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, adhering to the Trust's values and standards.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver effective care plans.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care pathways and protocols.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of patient care.
  • Support the development of junior staff members and contribute to their professional growth.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • GCSE Maths and English grade C or above / Grade 4-9 or Functional/Key Skills level 2 numeracy and literacy.
  • BNCS or NVQ level 2 training programme.
  • Previous experience of working in an acute healthcare or related setting.
  • Understanding of health and safety issues within healthcare.
  • Understanding of the concept and application of confidentiality.
  • Understanding of the role of a Band 3 Senior HCA.
Desirable Criteria

We would welcome applications from candidates with:

  • Level 3 QCF diploma in healthcare or NVQ level 3.
